Women from urban slums in Delhi
Project Summary:
With Maitrayana as our partner, we went to Alipur in Delhi, which is an urban slum situated on the outskirts of the city to make women in the area ‘Period Strong’ by busting myths about ‘Periods’ that had been prevailing in the community from time without beginning. Participating women were also trained on and provided with menstrual cups with an aim to ‘End Period Poverty’ in the community and support them in exercising their right of safe and hygienic menstruation.
