Project Summary:
The Social Welfare team from Mahindra World City along with the trainers from team Sirona went to 4 sites across Mahapura village near Jaipur. School girls (aged 8-14) from Kanya Pathshala and Sanskrit School were given health education on menstrual hygiene management ad were given Dignity kits with essential products for managing periods. Additionally, 75 college girls from Sanskrit college were given hands on training on using menstrual cups through a workshop. They were also given dignity kits along with size appropriate menstrual cups. All questions around usage of cups were answered and Ms Mamta Tripathi maintained follow up on cup usage for three menstrual cycle for each participant. The Mahindra site office at Evolve Towers has 80 women gardeners and staff that belong to the nearby villages. They were educated for menstrual hygiene management through pads and were also introduced to the idea of menstrual cups. Witnessing a great response for menstrual cups, 15 women from this group were additionally provided with a free menstrual cup.
